There is a song that had always drawn me in for some reason. I tend to connect with songs for random reasons, it's just always been that way. I mean, even to the point that there are New Kids songs that still bring some really good feelings my way. :O)
Anyway, this song always grabbed my attention. Never really thought about it, though. I kind of just used to think it was the cool little 80's jig that I could do to it (you have to see it to understand).
After getting back from Kenya, though, I know why I am connected to this song. I get it now. I can't stop listening to it because every time I hear it, I feel like I'm saying the words to myself, saying them to God, saying them to my past life. It's like I've woken up from a slumber.
Now, I need to figure out what to do with the passion. That is what is really giving me a go right now. It's frustrating. But, that's for another post.
So, here are the basics of the song. It's by Mute Math and it's called "Noticed". If you've never heard it, I definitely challenge you to check it out.
Careful when you open, it's easy to be broken
In the strangest fashion, you start a chain reaction
When you look my way, something's pounding away
And I wonder if I ever felt this before
And all this time, oblivious to what you make so obvious
I can't believe I never noticed my heart before
And you are reaching something that is beating
I can't believe I never noticed my heart before
Over and again, racing out of my skin
I can't believe I never noticed my heart before
At least it was never until I noticed you and your ways
Capture what I've misplaced
In the perfect fashion just watch my heart's reaction
This point of view is nothing that I'm used to, but I won't close my eyes
'Cause they're on to you
And all this time, it was staring me blind
I can't believe I never noticed my heart before
The only time I ever noticed my heart was when I noticed you.
I noticed you, Jesus. I noticed my heart this time...and it's reaction. My eyes are on to you. Now what?
