We are finally getting a little bit o' rain in Atlanta. Nothing to write home about (obviously it's something to blog about, though), but it is rain. It has been such a dry season. Gosh, in more ways than one. Dang, stupid weather...always makes you think deeper than you initially intend to. :O)
But, here comes the rain! The land needs it and I need it. As I was driving to work this morning, it started to rain very lightly...almost no need for the windshield wipers. Then, it slowly started picking up speed to the point where it was down-pouring by the time I pulled into the parking deck. (I'm going to go with the cliche....IS it a cliche?) It seems that it is mirroring the way I have been allowing God to pour into my life lately. Just a little bit....then gradually more....finally dropping my guard and letting Him give me everything I need to have right now. I am a stubborn freak. I KNOW this!!!!
I am positive I have not seen the last or the best of it. And for that, I am grateful. My prayer is that, as I get ready to make the journey to Kenya, and then eventually spend 7+ days in Kenya, my world will be blown away, rocked to the core....I don't even know what else to pray right now because I don't want to have any say in it.
So, come on rain. Let's do this!

i dont think that's a cliche at all...i think that's how so many of us are.
but please believe my friend, God is gonna rain down in a mighty way in kenya..there's no ifs, ands or buts about it. you cannot stop it...it is just what He's in the business of doing for those who allow Him to...
do you think i can fit in your carry on?
I like the new blog look. I can't wait to hear about how God uses you in Kenya.
